Our Minister

Pastor Kathryn L. Davelaar

After a career as an elementary school teacher, Kathryn was called into the ministry and attended Western Theological Seminary in Holland, Michigan, receiving her Masters in Divinity in 1992. She has served the Third Reformed Church in Holland, Michigan as an Associate Minister and then served as the Pastor of Hope Church from 1998 to 2007.

Pastor Davelaar moved to Schenectady, New York in 2007 where she served as Lynnwood Reformed Church's Interim Minister. She also became a mentor to a number of young Christians as a cabin counselor at Camp Fowler. In the fall of 2008, Pastor Kathryn accepted a call from the Reformed Church of Claverack and officially began her new ministry here in January of 2009.

Our Consistory & Officers
The Reformed Church uses a consistory as the governing body of the local church. A consistory consists of the elders, deacons, and minister of the Word, working together in the service and supervision of the church. Along with the minister, our consistory includes six elders and six deacons who together strive to seek God's will in ministering to His people.
