2010 Confirmands Become Members

On Pentecost Sunday - May 23 - the Claverack Reformed Church celebrated the graduation of this year's confirmands and welcomed them as new members. They are (from left to right) Abigail Weinman, Amara Steenburn, Kaitlyn Krein and Jameson Connor, along with Pastor Kathy Davelaar. The confirmands received certificates of membership into the church, wooden monograms symbolizing the first two letters of the Greek word for Christ, and teen Bibles.

Thank You For Supporting Our Lobster Bake

The Claverack Reformed Church would like to say thanks to all who helped make our May Lobster Bake a huge success. Event co-ordinator Gary Steenburn is pictured with one of the 300+ Maine lobsters that were sold, raising over $1500 for the church's fuel fund. It couldn't have happened without the work of a team of volunteers (both members and non-members alike) and the support of the local community - THANK YOU!!!
